Luke himself is nowhere to be seen when Shouxue enters the void; she won't realize who this memory belongs to until she's freed of it. For now, all she knows, very suddenly, is her new identity: She is a highly skilled, specialized agent, and she is on the trail of a very dangerous criminal. The moon hangs in the sky overhead, and the forest around her is lush with wildlife. In the distance, to one side, she can see a clearing with a makeshift camp; straight ahead is a dark cave. Which way does she go?]

[After Dion's arrival, Luke makes himself scarce, but he's not particularly hard to find; he's just in the tech lab, like he often is. He doesn't seem particularly worked up or anything--he glances up when he spots her and nods in greeting.]

which is to say, shouxue is holding multiple containers of dumplings from the night market, balancing them as well as she can. she looks so excited to eat them. ]

ANYWAY UNLESS SOMETHING FUNKY HAPPENS WITH THEIR RETURN Luke will be here waiting!! Thank goodness they got clothes this week. He probably grabbed a big robe or something to wrap around her right away, but otherwise he will press a fresh set of clothing into her hands and then give her a little space to recuperate. They are not very stylish. I'm sorry Shouxue.

Eventually, though, he will come back and find her, holding a warm, wrapped baozi.

As trial ends, Luke will assume she wants to spend some time with Diluc; eventually, though, he will come find her, carrying a hot drink cup from Epc*t.]

[ she's eating bao because she isn't angry enough her appetite left her for once. the trial ended sadly, but it wasn't as terribly dramatic and horrible as it could have been. ]

They understood more this week.

[Hilariously, RNG put us at the gothic kitchen!! Truly they have bonded over food--Luke might've even come to get her so they can rummage around!! Except this time, he's immediately distracted by getting POOFED INTO A VICTORIAN MAID OUTFIT???? HELLO.]

[Sets this one pre-rats and pre-sleepover if we are still having one... Luke probably can't be found for at least a couple of hours... but eventually Shouxue can track him down in one of the less cursed locations. Maybe the library? Curled up in a chair with a book he's not reading, rubbing absently at his wrist.

He glances over as she enters, and he smiles at her, but it's a pale attempt compared to his usual.]

[ what if she harvested lotus seeds from this planet and made baozi with them?

she would never. anyway, exploring the beach on this super safe new planet is a fun thing to do. she's never seen an ocean before. the nighty night beach hardly counts. ]
